Fly Trap Satellite

This weekend David and I made a fly trap.
We have a huge fly problem in our neighborhood. We tried using the chemical traps but they stink. The smell lingers for days in the yard and in the garage where we keep our trash cans. I worry our neighbors will complain.
I happened upon this website with instructions to build your own fly trap without any chemicals.
We figured what have we got to lose except a 2-gallon bucket and some old screen?
It was a learning experience for me. We used drill bits, hack saw, jig saw, hot glue gun and duct tape. Here is the end result.

I figure if it doesn't catch flies, we can donate it to NASA for use as a satellite.

So did the fly trap work?
