On the first day of spring break, we went to Lawrence Hall of Science.
In the entrance plaza, there was a huge whale,
and a huge strand of DNA.
The kids' favorite was the manufactured creek where they could stop the water-flow with dams and throw shovels in the water and watch them float downstream.
From the museum (which is on a hill above Berkeley), you can see Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. (But alas, you can't see them in this picture because I forgot my camera so these pictures were taken with my crappy cell-phone camera, sorry!)
